Technique: The soft, comicstrip-esque art style works with the content well and gives the image a subtle, extra layer of playfulness that adds to it's impact.
Vision: The humor is inherent in the content and delivered with a subtly that fits with the series. (By that, I should say that the picture and the series it's based on has a 'Loony Tunes' ability to be both 'sledgehammer' and subtle simultaneously.) A strabimus eye doctor for the direct impact, but having her use rebuses for her eye chart is supremely slick in the exicution.
Originality: I can honestly state that this is the first time I have encountered the compesition you have created
Impact: Being a lady who has spent most of her life visiting eye doctors, this is a beautiful and touching image that makes me both laugh and sticks with me.
I have to stare at both the art and the comments, but I get the friggin' joke!
Dr. Derpy: What picture is this Twilight? Twilight: Uhh... Green? Dr. Derpy: No, Twilight. It's a banana. I think you're eyesight is very poor. Twilight: Take an eye exam, they said. It'll be fun, they said.
Now, Twilight, for the first part of your eye exam... please tell me what kind of muffin this is. Uh... are you sure this is part of the exam, Miss... That's DOCTOR Hooves to you, Ms. Sparkle. Oh I'm sorry, Dr. Hooves. Hmm... if I had to make an educated guess, I would say that it is a chocolate chip muffin. No. That is wrong, Ms. Sparkle. This is clearly a blueberry muffin. It should have been pretty obvious if you had good eyesight like I do. I am going to have to prescribe a pair of glasses to you.
