Hmm... It really looks good. And somehow more defined than the lineless Fluttershy you drew. It's probably the shading that causes it, especially around her ear. The floating objects look good as well. Actually, I'm not even sure if they were better off with lines.
But still... even though you improved in shading and drawing without lineart, I also preferred if you kept the lines. Maybe draw lineless every now and then for practice purposes, but otherwise do it with your precious lineart. The magic, however, looks much better without outlines. You should keep it that way and work from here whenever you practice effects like these.
Also, you could differentiate between characters and objects. Using your usual lineart for characters, thinner outlines for objects and no outlines at all for effects like magic.
